Earl Bigelow
Earl Duane Bigelow, 74, a Fort Mohave, Ariz., resident of 12 years, passed away Friday, Oct. 2, 2015.
A private service has been requested.
Born April 30, 1941, in Hazleton to Clyde and Gladys Bigelow, Earl joined and served 10 years in the U.S. Navy as a machinist’s mate on the USS Navarro, USS Point Defiance, and USS New Jersey before raising his family in California and retiring from the Operating Engineers.
He moved to Fort Mohave in 2002.
Earl was an incredible man to be surrounded by a family such as his; it was his prized possession. He will be greatly missed, but his lessons and legacy will live on through them.
Earl is survived by his wife, Janey Lee Bigelow of Fort Mohave, Ariz.; daughter Debby S. Amaya of Chino, Calif., daughter Tammy L. Bigelow of Diamond Bar, Calif., daughter Pamela J. Leederman of Bullhead City, Ariz.; son Scott D. Bigelow of Corpus Christi, Texas; as well as eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Local survivors include brother-in-law Lawrence Ishman of West Union and niece Connie Holder of Hawkeye.
Earl was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Ishman, and his niece, Vicki Chensvold, both of West Union. 41p41
