
Sheryl Butikofer
Sheryl Ann Butikofer, 56, of Elgin, Iowa, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016 in La Crosse Wisconsin.
Sheryl Ann Wagg was born on December 8, 1959 to Pliny Faye and Evelyn (Gibler) Wagg in Muscatine, Iowa.
She graduated in 1978 from West Central High School in Maynard, Iowa and received her Associate Degree in Interior Design from Hawkeye Technical College.
Sheryl was united in marriage with Rodney Butikofer on March 28, 1987 at the Elgin Lutheran Church, Elgin, Iowa. One daughter was born to this union.
Sheryl had been employed by the Elkader Care Center and Great River Care Center. She currently was the Administrative Assistant at North Fayette Elementary School, where she has worked for over 20 years.
Sheryl had been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints since 1980. She was extremely involved with the church in many ways.
Sheryl loved working with the Valley Community Coalition. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, and spending time with family and friends.
Sheryl is survived by her husband, Rodney Butikofer of Elgin, Iowa; daughter, Kelsey (Scott) Erickson of Janesville, Wisconsin; granddaughter, Clarice Erickson of Janesville, Wisconsin; two brothers, David (Karen) Wagg of Stanton, Iowa and Scott (Amanda) Wagg of Muscatine, Iowa; and a sister, Kathy (Allen) Chapman of Oelwein, Iowa.
Sheryl was preceded in death by her parents; Pliny and Evelyn Wagg; and one grandson, Dean Erickson on March 5, 2016.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 19, 2016, from 4-8 pm at the Leonard – Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Elgin, Iowa. Visitation was also held one hour before services on Saturday at the North Fayette Valley Performing Arts Center in West Union, Iowa.
Funeral Services were held on Saturday, August 20, 2016, at 10 am at the North Fayette Valley Performing Arts Center in West Union, Iowa.
Burial followed in the Apostolic Cemetery, rural Elgin, Iowa.
