June E. Koehler, 96, of Arlington, Iowa died on Monday afternoon, October 24, 2016 at the Good Neighbor Society in Manchester.
Funeral Service: Noon, Friday, October 28, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church, Arlington with Pastor Margaret Yackel-Juleen officiating.
Visitation: 9:00 A.M. to Noon on Friday at the church.
Interment: Taylorsville Cemetery, Arlington.
A Memorial Fund has been established for St. John Lutheran Church, Arlington.

June Elizabeth Koehler was born June 30, 1920 in rural Aurora, Iowa the daughter of Wilfred Freeman and Mary (Maser) Tripp.
She graduated from Arlington High School with the Class of 1938.
June was united in marriage to Samuel John Koehler on February 10, 1939 at the Lutheran Church in West Union.
June was a devoted homemaker and was also employed at the Cottage Inn and Belschner Hardware in Arlington. She was the Arlington Meal Site Manager for 19 years.
June was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Arlington where she was active as a member of church circle, as a Sunday School teacher, Bible School teacher, chaperoned youth trips and was in charge of the Nursery Cradle Roll.
She was a member of the Mid Century Club.
June loved people. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidering, knitting, reading, puzzles, cooking and making ceramics. She made ceramic Santas for her daughters, one every year for 16 years.
June is survived by her 2 daughters: LaVon Nelson Amundson of Elgin and Wanda (Kenneth) Chappell of Arlington; 3 grandchildren: Jackie (Dave) Chappell Green, Janet (Mike) Chappell Beer and Tina (Denis) Nelson Monroe; 7 great grandchildren: Elyse Green Rees, Emily (Zach) Green Mutchler, Tina Beer, Ashley Chappell-Jones (Justin Jones), Jeramy (Tami) Monroe, Zachary Monroe and Carly Monroe; and 7 great-great grandchildren: Jayden June Rees, Kenzie Marie Monroe, Holden Monroe, Sutton Elizabeth Jones, Delilah Mae Jones, Haley Mutchler, Maddox Sharpe and 2 Nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Sam on September 3, 2012; grandson: Kurt Chappell; sister: Dorothy Peterman; and 2 sons-in-law: Enoch Nelson, Wayne Amundson; and special friend of the family: Cliff Kuhse. 44u44
